Because USA is #1.
Many Americans claim that the USA is the best nation in the world. I'm not here to debate that.
But, like the saying goes, you're only as good as the weakest link. Unfortunately, because we are on a non-stop train to infinite inequality, we are increasing the amount of weak links. Policies are coming out of Washington that only increase the gap between the rich and poor, and therefore every public sector suffers.
We're only as good as our weakest link, our weakest policy. Tomato paste is a vegetable, which is not even kept at the same consistency as it ought to. Rather, it is diluted of most of its nutrients and frozen onto a brick dough for months before consumption by the future generation of leaders in the United States.
This pizza is not good enough for the future leaders of the "#1 nation" in the world. The school lunches served to our future is a reflection of our congress' priorities. If the youth are not # 1, who is? The frozen pizza industry? The potato industry? I wouldn't eat it, and I doubt our congressmen and women would be willing to eat it. Therefore, it's simply not good enough for #1.
